Part-time CARETAKER JOB VACANCY

St. Margaret’s, Lee is recruiting a part-time experienced caretaker to ensure the cleaning and upkeep of our church and buildings.

A flexible approach and willingness to support our community is essential.

Post Title: Caretaker with Cleaning Responsibilities

EmPloyer/Location: Parochial Church Council (PCC), St. Margaret’s, Lee         

Salary: £12 per hour plus occasional overtime as agreed. The pay is subject to usual PAYE conditions

Hours: 20 hours per week (flexible hours, some Saturdays, Sundays) Temporary Contract

Paid Leave: To be taken in agreement with the Events and Premises Manager to meet the needs of the service

Responsible to:Rector and Parochial Church Council, Line-Managed by the Events and Premises Manager

Start Date: As soon as possible

Working Arrangements: The nature of the job requires flexible working arrangements in accordance with the day to day use of the church estate including working outside of normal office type hours.  Most working times and duties will be pre-agreed with the Events and Premises Manager. Pre-agreed paid overtime will be required. There will be very rare occasions when out of hours (emergency) attendance is required.

The successful applicant will have knowledge and experience of basic building maintenance and excellent cleaning capabilities. We require a reliable team player able to work with minimal supervision.  The work involves medium exertion. 

The post is subject to an Enhanced DBS check, a Right to Work check and written references.
