St Margaret’s Church, Lee is recruiting an Assistant to work with our Outreach Project Manager to run our outreach programme which currently focuses on ESOL classes for asylum seekers, refugees and migrants.
We are looking for someone to help run our Thursday ESOL class which attracts about 25 students per session. We run a crèche and employ two workers to look after any children that come with their parents. Our teaching staff are supported by a team of between 8 to 15 volunteers per session.
You will help to manage and support our team of friendly volunteers and be a reliable presence in the class, ensuring that our teachers and volunteers have all that they need to deliver the sessions. Other duties will include helping to produce impact reports and maintain efficient, basic administration including keeping registers and contact details updated.
This is a part time post - 8 hours a week. The salary is £12 per hour, subject to review. The post-holder will be based at the St. Margaret’s Church Office, currently at the Visitors’ Centre in Brandram Road, SE13 5EA.
